Our Supply Chain
Our solid oak is sourced from Germany, from an FSC mill that only uses local wood. As we aim to preserve the remarkable texture, feel, and pattern of the material, we have worked hard to find a supplier who doesn’t reject knots and expressive wood grain. Like us, this oak mill values every tree. Characterful oak functions perfectly, and so whilst it may be too wild for some, we celebrate these features in our oak products.
Materials and Finish
We want to make sure that our products are made as ethically as possible. It all begins from our material. All of our oak comes from the closest and most responsibly accredited FSC and PEFC mills in Europe that we can reach. Most of our oak is regulated by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification. This leading global alliance of national forest certification systems is dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification.
PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced to the highest ecological, social and ethical standards.
We cut all our products from large sheets, and utilise as much of the material as possible. This significantly reduces the amount of wood needed to produce one of our products and reduces our workshop waste.
The Highbeach dining is protected by a water-based finish that preserves the natural tone of the wood. This finish is the environmentally responsible choice and requires only warm water to clean and maintain. With care, the Highbeach table can be enjoyed and passed down for years and years to come.

Looking for a matching bench? If you want it to slide seamlessly between the legs, go for 30cm shorter than the full table length. Similarly, calculate space for chairs in the same way.
